Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about batch codes

What is a batch code?
A batch code is a set of codes (usually letters and numbers) printed by the manufacturer on cosmetic packaging to identify the production batch. The exact production date and shelf life of the product can be retrieved through the batch code.
Where to find the batch code?
Usually located at the bottom of the outer packaging box, bottom of the bottle, on the bottle label, or embossed on the tube tail. It is usually separate from the barcode and is a set of inkjet or embossed codes.
How long can unopened cosmetics last?
Skin care products are usually 3 years, and makeup is 3-5 years. However, please note that once the product is opened, refer to the "open cap mark" (such as 6M, 12M) on the packaging, which means it should be used up within 6 or 12 months after opening.
